Ephesians 5:11, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
My point is that we shouldn’t just address the sins that are only opposed by Ashton Kutcher and Hollywood. Let’s also address the sins that are socially accepted, controversial and even sometimes highly esteemed in our culture. Like sex outside of marriage, abortion, homosexuality, greed, idolatry, etc.
Sins that are easy to address (mostly agreed upon by everyone in our culture):
- Racism
- Sex trafficking
- Injustice
- Murder and mass killings
- Terrorism
Sins that are hard to address in our culture because most the culture accepts as norm:
- Abortion
- Homosexuality
- Greed
- Idolatry (like putting career, sports and entertainment before God).
- Selfish ambition (only caring about yourself and achieving the American Dream).
- False religions and other ways to God
Galatians 5:19-21, “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
