During the second service today I mentioned that we as Christians will rejoice when we see the devil along with the sinful people of earth destroyed in Armegeddon and sentenced to the lake of fire.
For example, John records in Revelation 18:20, “Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice, apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you.” The “her” is relating to the end time capitiol city of earth’s one nation government known as, “Babylon.” Most scholars believe this is the symbolic name given to rebellious humanity.
Some have the idea that we will mourn for the lost on Judgement Day, however, this is not the case at the Great White Throne Judgment. It will not matter if they were our children, parents, best friends, fellow countrymen, etc., we will see them for what they were spiritually- rebels and traitors against our God and their Creator.
Consider, what Jesus said in Luke 14:26-27, “26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” This reminds us that relationships must be submitted to Jesus and if they try to keep us from the Kingdom of God, we must “hate” their evil influence. In other words, no one is worth going to hell over.
And Jesus said in Luke 12:51-53, “51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” This actually happened in Germany when the families were pitted against each other by the Nazis. Sadly, children would turn in their own parents and visa versa.
This is not to say that God does not want them to be saved now or that we shouldn’t weep like Jesus over their current rebellion in intercession, however, it is a truth that when the final judgments come and people have made their choice, we will rejoice in God’s final judgment.
As a matter of fact, those alive during the Battle of Armageddon will be trampled by God like grapes in a winepress and their blood will flow as high as a horse’s head for 180 miles. John recorded in Revelation 14:19-20, “19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia (180 miles).”
I know this is not a pleasant thought but we must take serious the judgment to come and preach to our friends and family that they might be saved. For the time will come when they will cry out to be saved and it will be too late. Revelation 6:16-17, “16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
Bottom Line: Christians will rejoice in God’s Judgement like the Allied Forces rejoiced when Germany’s armies were defeated and Japan’s cities were destroyed. We will not care who they were to us relationally, ethnically or nationally- our total allegiance will be to the Kingdom of God, ruled by Jesus Christ.
