Please know that I am not shaming a man that obviously needed help. I am shining a light on an issue that has been largely ignored by the world… suicide.
 
And especially suicide among white, middle class males:
 
1. Robin Williams
2. Chris Cornell
3. Chester Bennington
4. Avicii
 
What did all these people have in common:
 
1. White (anglo)
2. Wealthy
3. Popular/Stars
4. Beautiful wives/girlfriends
5. Non-Christian worldview
 
Now, let me say that I am also aware of Christians and pastors who have committed suicide… but I make the case that their worldview was non-Christian- but that is for another time.
 
Read what King Solomon wrote thousands of years ago in Proverbs 8:36, “But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.” In other words, in the end, all those who reject Jesus as their Lord and Savior will harm themselves and love death— either in this life with sin or in the world to come in the lake of fire.
 
Here are the reasons I believe we are seeing suicide increase again without it slowing down- especially in the white privileged males.
 
1. The Non-Christian Worldview of Rich White Males
 
The new worldview (or mindset) for privileged white males is: remain single or non-married for as long as possible, have sex with different women and live together for years before settling down. be disconnected from your kids, do you and live however feels best; i.e., “selfishness.” This kind of self-centered mindset eliminates the God-given plan for men to give their best years to the “wife of their youth” and to “their children.”
 
Proverbs 5:18-19, “18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19 A loving doe, a graceful deer— may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love.”
 
Psalms 128:3-6, “3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. 5 May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.”
 
2. Success before Spirituality
 
Because white males have a better rate of success it is easier for them to put their career before everything- including their spirituality. They feel they if they can land that job, write that song, get their name in lights— they will be happy. However, when they make it to the top they realize that the false “gods” of fame, success and wealth do nothing for the soul.
 
Mark 8:36, “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
 
3. Lack of Humility to Get Help
 
I know many people want to believe that those who commit suicide are the victims of mental health- but in most, if not all cases, I do not believe that. Get mad at me if you want, but I don’t buy it. I have interacted with people weeks before their suicide (one of my friends threw himself in front of a train) and they did not want to open up, humble themselves before God and get their life right. PERIOD.
 
I still believe that GOD is the only one that can truly HEAL the SOUL (mind, will and emotions). If you reject God and His plan for your life then misery and ruin will be on your path.
 
Romans 3:16-18, “16 ruin and misery mark their ways, 17 and the way of peace they do not know. 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
 
If you are not a Christian and you get offended by me saying that- remember, I still believe you are in darkness and that you are going to HELL. You and I have nothing in common when it relates to matters of the soul. So please understand me- I take this serious and would rather you be offended with the truth than tell you “my prayers are with you” and keep watching silently as more kill themselves.
 
I have been used by God to see dozens of people saved from suicide by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I could list them out here and they could tell you their stories… so I do care… I care enough to tell you the truth.
 
Here are just a few that dealt with many of the same kinds of things that cause people to take their lives— depression, social rejection, dark thoughts, hopelessness, etc. Not only are they better- but they are all happily married and are leaders in our CHURCH!:

As a “real pastor” (not like many of the fake ones you see online)— I don’t bow down to the “wisdom of this age,” “political correctness” and “Dr. Phil…” God delivered ME from death and mental torment and He will do the same for all those who love His Word and keep His commands.
 
(Christians and their problems with mental illness is another topic which I recommend Dr. Caroline Leaf and Meier Clinics for further study. Both groups believe that most, if not all depression, loneliness and anxieties are rooted in the spiritual soul too.)

God is able to stop this horrible trend of death! We murder or children in the wombs and kill ourselves… the devil has an easy job- God have mercy and save our nation!
