Take a moment to wrap your mind around this transcendental (non-physical) goodie;
- PREMISE 1: God is the precondition for “X” (whatever you can rationally conceive, including rationality, proper function and logic).
- Based on Romans 11:36, “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Good presuppositional text.
- PREMISE 2: “X” exists.
- CONCLUSION: Therefore, God exists.
Believe it? Let it convince you by first trying to disprove the most bold premise, premise one. Try to either eliminate the need for preconditions (but remember you will be using things like logic and rationality without grounding or warrant) and/or try to insert something other than God… have fun!
I’ll be waiting for you at the conclusion. And since the Triune God of Scripture is the only logical option for the identity of God (which is another argument for another time… unless you twist my arm for it!); prepare to confess Jesus as Lord, if you haven’t already!
p.s. For those who notice it is circular, (starting with God to only prove Him at the end), remember all ultimate transcendental arguments are circular; including yours if you’re not a Christian. And by the way, how did you know it was circular without premise one being true?
