God has called us to be people of hope. This doesn’t mean we are to be naive about the troubles in this life, however, we are to know that even though we will have troubles, God has given us a hope beyond the scope of human suffering. Therefore, dear Saint, don’t lose your hope- God is going to do what He promised He’d do!
HEBREWS 10:23-25
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
HOPE: Expectation of good.
WHEN HOPE IS NEEDED MOST
- When the people around you are hopeless because of the fear of evil (Psalm 23:4).
- When your soul is downcast because of what you’re going through (Psalm 42:11).
- When God’s promises are delayed (Jeremiah 29:11).
ROMANS 5:1-5
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
