Did you know that Jesus is not the only one ruling from a throne in New Jerusalem for the millennium reign (1,000 years)?

1. There are 24 thrones around Jesus’ throne in the center of the city with 24 elders sitting on them (mostly likely made up of the saints from the Old Testament).

Revelation 4:4, “Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.”

2. Then somewhere in New Jerusalem are the twelve disciples’ thrones (minus Judas who was probably replaced with Paul). They will be like the Supreme Court of the Kingdom- their first duty will be to judge (reward/punish) the twelve tribes of Israel throughout history.

Luke 22:30, “So that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

3. Lastly, there are thrones set up all over the earth, where God’s saints rule over the people left on the earth after the Seven Judgements and the Battle of Armageddon. Many will be the ones who were beheaded in the tribulation time.

Revelation 20:4, “I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

Do you want to rule with Christ? It’s good to remember what Jesus said about how someone gets to be in charge of “many things.” He said It’s the one who has been faithful to multiply will the Master (Jesus) has gone away on a journey. Read Matthew 25:23, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”

Are you being faithful with little so that you will be give much to be in charge over in the thousand reign of Christ upon the earth?

Lastly, What is neat is that all these thrones of authority come from Jesus and even if we are not set up to rule as Kings (governors) over regions in the thousand years, we can always take a seat on Jesus’ lap on His throne with Him!

Revelation 3:21, “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.”
