“I don’t understand why God made me this way, but He did. The urges come naturally to me. It’s like this is who I am on the inside- no matter how hard I try to change- I still feel the same. I know God won’t punish me for doing these kind of actions because the Bible teaches that we’re all sinners and God loves us all so much.

Even if what I am doing is a sin, Jesus died for my sins so I am covered by His amazing grace. I know some people read the Bible and say He is against my actions and that they can lead me to hell, but everyone has their own opinion and interpretation of the Bible. I choose to agree with those who say He loves me and never will cast me into hell because I believe in Him (no matter what I do).

Likewise, the doctors tell me I have a disease or something related to my natural makeup, so that confirms that it’s not a sin for me or something that I will be sent to hell over- I don’t have a choice in how I act- it’s just who I am. Would God send a person to hell because they have cancer?

Also, when unloving Christians call my behavior sin or treat me like I am not a child of God- it makes me feel judged and condemned. I feel like judgmental Christians just don’t understand what it’s like to be me. The more they preach against my actions as a sin, the more I hate their way of thinking and believe more strongly about my belief in Jesus being there to tell me, ‘It’s okay to not be okay.’

If they keep preaching with judgment they will keep pushing people away. Everyone is a sinner and is ‘beautifully broken’ in some way. I am tired of ‘suffering in silence’— I want to be loved and accepted for who I am and not what I do! My God will never push people away like that because He accepts me just the way I am- whether I ever change or not.”

What kind of person am I describing and what kind of sin are they doing? Did you know that all kinds of people use this same kind of thinking to justify their actions? What if I told everyone on the list below says the exact same thing;
  1. Homosexuals
  2. Transgenders
  3. Suicidal people
  4. Pedophiles who engage with “consenting children” (10yrs old and up- note they do not consider this raping because they believe it is natural and actually even helpful- they point to prior cultures that did the same kind of things- they think of it like mentoring willing children to help them “come of age”)
  5. Alcoholics
  6. Drug addicts
  7. Cross dressers
  8. Bi-sexuals
  9. Drag Queens
  10. Porn users
  11. Sex addicts
  12. Cutters & Self-mutilators
What does Jesus say to all those on this list… “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” “Neither do I condemn you, go now and leave your life of sin.”

Jesus does love those on the list, but too much to let them stay that way! If you’re on this list please reach out to Pastor Lauren Scienski and we will do all we can to teach you about what the Bible says regarding your lifestyle choices because we don’t want you to perish but have everlasting life!

John 8:34-36, “34 Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
